Job summary

Riverside Lifelong Health and Rehabilitation Smithfield is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for part-time night shifts in Smithfield, Virginia. The Household CNA provides personal care and support to residents, promoting well-being and participation in daily activities.

Responsibilities include hygiene assistance, meal service, laundry, and accompanying residents in activities. CPR/BLS and First Aid are required within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Prior Nurse Aide work experience (Preferred).
• CPR/BLS certification required within 30 days.
• First Aid certification required within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Attend to resident/guest hygiene and personal care needs (hygiene, grooming, dining, mobility).
• Organize supplies needed to complete tasks.
• Observe residents and report changes to nursing/household leadership.
• Follow infection control, sanitation and safety standards.
• Participate in care planning and advocate for residents' choices.
• Assist with laundry and meal preparation/service.
• Maintain clean resident rooms and common spaces.
• Document caregiving activities and treatments as required.
• Support quality improvement processes within the household.
