Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center (LWRMC) in Bradenton, FL is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for orthopedics to support the RN, assist with daily living activities, and enhance patient care during night shifts.

This part-time role requires a CNA certification, BLS, and strong communication. Benefits include PTO, 401(k) match, tuition reimbursement, and career development opportunities with UHS.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• CNA Certification required; BLS certification by start date.
• Previous experience as Unit Secretary/Nursing Assistant, Medic or EMT/Paramedic preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; basic computer and customer service skills required.
• For Emergency Room, CPI required within 6 months.

Job Overview:

Assumes responsibility for facilitating and enhancing the delivery of patient care and the patient experience under the direction of the RN. Duties include, patient care, activities of daily living, and general support duties as assigned to include but not limited to: clerical, stocking, courier, and transport. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Previous experience as Unit Secretary/ Nursing Assistant, Medic or EMT/Paramedic, preferred.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS at start date.
• CNA Certification required.
• Demonstrated track record for excellent communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.
• For Emergency Room, CPI required within 6 months.
