Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is seeking a part-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for night shifts. The CNA will assist the RN, provide patient care and activities of daily living, and support clerical and transport tasks while maintaining service excellence.

The role requires CNA certification, BLS at start date, and strong communication skills. Prior unit secretary or EMT experience is a plus; hospital environment experience is valued. Two to three days review window noted.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Previous experience as Unit Secretary/Nursing Assistant or EMT/Paramedic is preferred.
• Current BLS from American Heart Association or Red Cross at start date.
• CNA Certification is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN to deliver patient care and improve patient experience.
• Provide daily living activities, clerical and transport support as assigned.

Job Overview

Assumes responsibility for facilitating and enhancing the delivery of patient care and the patient experience under the direction of the RN. Duties include, patient care, activities of daily living, and general support duties as assigned to include but not limited to: clerical, stocking, courier, and transport. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

General Responsibilities

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Previous experience as Unit Secretary/ Nursing Assistant, Medic or EMT/Paramedic, preferred.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS at start date.
• CNA Certification required.
• Demonstrated track record for excellent communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.
• For Emergency Room, CPI required within 6 months.
