Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for orthopedics. This part-time night shift role supports patient care under the supervision of the RN, facilitating daily activities, mobility, and comfort while contributing to a welcoming patient experience.

Applicants should hold a CNA certification and a current BLS. Prior Unit Secretary/Nursing Assistant or EMT experience is preferred, with strong communication and basic computer skills expected.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• CNA Certification required; BLS at start date.
• Experience as Unit Secretary/Nursing Assistant/Medic/EMT/Paramedic preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, basic computer and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN to facilitate and enhance patient care and patient experience.
• Provides everyday patient care and supports activities of daily living.
• Performs clerical, stocking, courier and transport duties as assigned.
• Maintains service excellence in all interactions.

Job Overview

Assumes responsibility for facilitating and enhancing the delivery of patient care and the patient experience under the direction of the RN. Duties include, patient care, activities of daily living, and general support duties as assigned to include but not limited to: clerical, stocking, courier, and transport. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

General Responsibilities

• Provides everyday patient care.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Previous experience as Unit Secretary/ Nursing Assistant, Medic or EMT/Paramedic, preferred.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS at start date.
• CNA Certification required.
• Demonstrated track record for excellent communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.
• For Emergency Room, CPI required within 6 months.
