Right At Home Sacramento-Davis is seeking a compassionate Home Care Aide to provide non-medical in-home support across Sacramento and surrounding areas. You will assist with bathing, dressing, meal preparation, medication reminders, companionship, and light housekeeping, plus transportation to appointments.

You must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance, your own vehicle, and be able to pass a full background check. Shifts include all seven days with AM/PM and overnight options.

Qualifications

• Experience with dementia, hospice, incontinence, transfers with Hoyer, gait training, and using a slide board.

Responsabilités

• Assist with dressing and grooming.
• Assist with ambulation and transfers.
• Prepare meals and snacks according to instructions.
• Escort patients to medical appointments and run errands.
• Perform light housekeeping and remind patients to take medication.
• Care for bed-bound clients as needed.
• Use gait belts, slide boards, and Hoyer lifts.
• Provide companionship.

Job Overview

A homecare aide provides for the maintenance of a safe and clean environment and offers non-medical home care such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, medication reminders, companionship, transportation to doctor appointments, errands, and light housekeeping. The goal is to help senior clients remain as independent as possible wherever they call home.

We travel to the following areas: Sacramento, West, North and South Sacramento, Natomas, Woodland, and Davis.

The career requires your own vehicle to transport clients, a valid driver’s license, and vehicle insurance. Shift needs include all days of the week (Monday to Sunday) for AM/PM and overnight (NOC).

Essential Responsibilities

• Assists with dressing/grooming.
• Assists with ambulation and transfers.

• Accompanies patients on errands or medical appointments.
• Performs light housekeeping activities.Reminds patients to take medication.
• Provides care for bed-bound clients.
• Uses lifting equipment such as gait belts, slide boards, and Hoyer lifts.
• Provides companionship.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.
• Must have the ability to pass a full employment background check.
• Has or can obtain Home Care Aide (HCA) Registration (we can assist at offer of employment).
• TB skin test completed not older than 90 days.
