PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend in Springfield, OR is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Observation Unit on the night shift. This full-time role (0.90 FTE) offers an hourly pay range of $23.25 to $34.49 and requires BLS as part of hire.

CNAs in this unit provide hands-on patient care, assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, and document care in the medical record, while collaborating with RNs and the care team.

Qualificações

• Current Oregon CNA certification.

• Observe patients closely and report changes in condition to the care team.
• Support treatments and basic clinical tasks within CNA scope of practice.
• Keep patient rooms stocked, organized, and ready to support quality care.
• Document patient care accurately in the medical record.
• Answer call lights and respond to patient needs with compassion and urgency.
• Provide clerical support such as answering phones, processing orders, and assisting with unit workflow when needed.

The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.

This position is represented by a collective bargaining agreement. There may be more than one opening on this posting.

What You'll Do

As a CNA in our Observation Department, you'll help patients feel comfortable, safe, and cared for during their hospital stay.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Current Oregon Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire, obtained through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

• Ability to stay organized and adapt in a dynamic healthcare environment.
• Basic computer and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in an acute care or hospital setting.
• Experience caring for patients with a variety of medical needs.
• Knowledge of age‑specific care and patient support across the lifespan.
