Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant for a full-time position on the Medical/Surg III Unit. You will provide safe, competent nursing assistant care and support to the healthcare team, guided by Patient Centered Care and Service Excellence standards.

The role requires NV CNA licensure, a current BLS certificate, and CNA program completion; prior acute care experience is preferred. Day shift with full benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited CNA program preferred
• Current Nevada CNA license required
• Current BLS certificate required
• Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting

Responsibilities

• Completes Bedside shift report in the room at the beginning and end of each shift. Ensures patient is provided with the names and contact numbers for members of the care team on the communication board every shift.
• Meets with Supervising RN at the beginning of each shift to receive delegation of tasks.
• Involves the patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population specific, and diversity needs in care.
