Job summary

First Atlantic Healthcare in Maine is seeking a CNA Med-Tech (CNA-M) to join a compassionate clinical team. The role focuses on administering medications, monitoring residents, and reporting observations under the supervision of a licensed nurse to support the highest practicable well-being.

New grads are welcome. The position requires a state-approved CNA program completion, Maine registry active status, and medication training. On-site shifts with flexible scheduling promote work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or GED.
• CNA program completion and active Maine CNA Registry.
• Successful completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant-Medication training program.
• Proficient interaction with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.

Responsibilities

• Medication Administration: Administer routinely scheduled oral and topical medications according to physician orders via scanning per policy to assigned residents.
• Monitoring & Documentation: Monitor vital signs and maintain accurate documentation of medications and treatments.
• Communication & Safety: Report unusual side effects, outdate meds, or shortages to the Charge Nurse.
• Inventory & Process Support: Assist with returning, re-ordering, and destroying medications per policy and help streamline the medication system.
