Jefferson City Health and Rehabilitation Center in Jefferson City, TN is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide basic nursing care under supervision and assist residents with daily living activities. The position offers starting wages of $17.25 to $26.00 per hour, with wage calculation based on experience, shift, attendance bonus, and weekend program.

Education and certification requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid CNA license in the state.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid CNA certification in the state of employment.
• Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answers signal lights and bells to determine resident needs.
• Assists residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, and incontinence care.
• Obtains food trays and assists residents with feeding.
• Assists residents with range of motion exercises, and movement to wheelchair or activity areas.
• Assists resident with turning and positioning in bed.
• Assists resident with ambulation for short distance in facility.
• Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
