Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant to provide basic patient care under nursing supervision in the Labor and Delivery / inpatient setting. Duties include taking vitals, assisting with activities of daily living, and reporting changes in patient condition.

Missouri CNA license and related training are required, with a pathway to obtain license within 120 days of hire. This position emphasizes compassionate care, teamwork, and adherence to safety and quality standards in a busy

Qualifications

• Education Preferred: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Experience Required: 3 months as a nursing assistant in inpatient or long-term care, EMT, or Surgical Technologist in the past 3 years.
• Completed an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel Program within the past 3 years.
• Completed the fundamentals of nursing course with clinical in an accredited nursing program or practical nursing education program.
• Must have Missouri CNA License; MO CNA Appendix and license must be obtained within 120 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff.
• Take vitals, bathe, dress, move patients, change linens and other duties as assigned.
• Obtain information on patient condition as requested by the nursing staff, and report any changes in patient condition.
