Job summary

Adelphi is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to provide nursing care at a correctional facility in Mitchells, Virginia. The ideal candidate will provide nursing care to patients through collaborative efforts with health team members while adhering to standards of care and practice.

The position is contract-based with an ASAP start, 8a-4:30p shift, and pay of $25 per hour. Requirements include Virginia CNA license and CPR certification, along with a resume.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia CNA license required.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Participates in screening, evaluation, and care of inmates under physician/RN supervision.
• Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
• Prepare patients for examinations or treatments.
• Prepare rooms, sterile instruments, equipment, or supplies and maintain stock.
• Coordinate with medical and ancillary staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ condition.
• Provide appropriate nursing interventions in emergencies.
• Comply with state requirements and facility policies and procedures.
• Additional duties as assigned by facility.
