Job summary

Adelphi is seeking Registered Nurses to provide nursing care and services at a facility in State Farm, Virginia. The ideal candidates will be required to assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records.

Position features include a 13-week contract, 8pm-8:30am night shifts, and a rate of $47/hr. Active Virginia license and CPR certification are required to ensure high-quality patient care in a correctional facility.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
• Administer medications to patients and monitor patients for reactions and side effects.
• Record patients’ medical information and vital signs.
• Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ condition.
• Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
• Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients’ responses and conditions.
• Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient’s condition.
