Job summary

Diversicare is seeking individuals to participate in CNA training and provide high-quality care to residents in a post-acute setting. You will support direct patient care, maintain dignity and comfort, and learn under supervision within a structured program.

As a trainee, you will gain hands-on experience, document care activities, and collaborate with the care team to ensure consistent service excellence across our centers.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn
• Prior experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care center is a plus
• Able to communicate positively and appropriately with residents, families, and team members
• Able to read, write, speak and understand English
• Demonstrates basic computer knowledge

Responsibilities

• Work as a team member to assist with direct care to residents/patients in accordance with training
• Assist with resident/patient care needs including oral hygiene, bathing, dressing and room cleanliness
• Complete assignments directed by the instructor, including exercises and hands-on activities
• Attend classroom activities and on-the-job trainings
• Provide safe bedside care delivered with integrity and compassion
• Communicate effectively with residents/patients and nursing team members
• Accompany residents to activities as needed
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely
• Build relationships with patients, families and other team members
• Comply with HIPAA where applicable
• Study and take the state administered exam to become a CNA
