Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a CNA I for the Progressive Care Unit on Hilton Head Island, SC. This full-time day shift runs 7:00am–7:00pm with relocation assistance up to $7,500 for eligible candidates.

You will assist patients with activities of daily living and help maintain a safe, clean environment under the supervision of a registered nurse. Ideal candidates hold a High School Diploma or GED, have completed the NAI program, and are listed as NA I with the nurse aide registry, with Medication

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year experience preferred; experience in long-term care or assisted living required.
• Completion of NAI program and NA I registry listing; Medication Safety - AME; state-approved restrictive interventions curricula within 3 months of hire.
• Basic computer skills for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provides and documents assistance to patients with activities of daily living and maintenance of a safe, clean environment under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.
• Assist patients with ADLs and maintain a safe, clean environment under RN supervision.
• Document care provided and communicate changes to the care team.

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience:
  • One year preferred.
  • One year Assisted Living facilities only: experience working in long-term care or assisted living, required.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Completion of NAI program, required.
  • Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, required.
  • Medication Safety - AME, required.
  • NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
• Additional Skills (preferred): Basic computer skills for documentation.
