Job summary

Novant Health’s Medical ICU at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant. You will deliver compassionate patient care on a day-to-day basis, support the care team, and help maintain a safe, efficient unit.

The role emphasizes teamwork, communication, and patient-centered outcomes. Required are a High School Diploma or GED, NA I certification, and Medication Safety training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year experience preferred; experience in long-term care or assisted living recommended.
• Completion of NAI program required.
• Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I required.
• Medication Safety - AME required.
• NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire.

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience:

  • One year Assisted Living facilities only: experience working in long-term care or assisted living, required.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Completion of NAI program, required.
  • Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, required.
  • Medication Safety - AME, required.
  • NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
• Additional Skills (preferred):Basic computer skills for documentation.
