Job summary

Novant Health's Surgery 1 team in Wilmington is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant for full-time night shifts (7pm–7am). You’ll contribute to compassionate, patient-centered care in a supportive environment where teamwork and stability are valued.

Responsibilities focus on delivering exceptional patient experiences, assisting with daily living activities, and supporting a collaborative care team. Education: HS diploma or GED; NA I enrollment and state registry are required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience: One year preferred; one year in assisted living/long-term care required.
• Licensure/Certification: Completion of NAI program, NA I registry, Medication Safety AME.
• State requirements for ED/Behavioral Health interventions within 3 months of hire.

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience:
  • One year preferred.
  • One year Assisted Living facilities only: experience working in long-term care or assisted living, required.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Completion of NAI program, required.
  • Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, required.
  • Medication Safety - AME, required.
  • NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
• Additional Skills (preferred): Basic computer skills for documentation.
