Responsibilities

• Assist in admission of patients to the unit and orient to the unit.
• Respond to patient needs with direct assistance or by reporting.
• Assist with implementation of nursing plan of care by carrying out delegated tasks.
• Maintain patient safety and proper use of equipment and supplies.
• Access medication/supply room to retrieve items for patient care.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked patient environment and assist with charging for services.
• Participate in education and Performance Improvement activities.
• Perform unit competency skills as needed (4 NAII skills).
• Demonstrate responsibility for customer satisfaction and patient throughput.
