Job summary

Nathan Adelson Hospice Inc. is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for per diem/as-needed shifts in Las Vegas, NV. The CNA will provide outstanding patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse, following the Nevada Practice Act and State Board guidelines.

Shifts start at 8:00am and are offered on a per diem basis. Candidates should have completed an approved CNA program, with a preference for those with hospice/home health experience and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an approved Certified Nursing Assistant Program.
• One year of recent clinical experience preferred.
• Hospice and/or home health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding patient care services and procedures under the supervision of a licensed nurse in accordance with the State Board of Nursing and Nevada Practice Act.
• Actively support and promote the hospice’s philosophy and mission statement.

Job description

Under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant performs outstanding patient care services, activities, and procedures as outline by the State Board of Nursing and within the Nevada Practice Act. Actively supports and promotes the hospice’s philosophy and mission statement.

Education and Experience:

• Successful Completion of an approved Certified Nursing Assistant Program.
• One year of recent clinical experience preferred.
• Hospice and/or home health experience preferred.

Required Licensure and Certification:

• Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of Nevada.
• Current CPR certification
• CNAs working in Home Care, Admissions or Triage departments must also be a Nevada licensed driver and possess an automobile that is insured in accordance with Nevada state and/or organizational requirements and is in good working order. Must maintain clean driving record.
• Hospice and Palliative Care certification preferred.
