Job summary

GBMC HealthCare in Towson, MD is seeking a Nursing Support team member to assist nurses in delivering direct and indirect patient care under supervision. You will help with activities of daily living and document care in the EMR.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, CPR certification, and Maryland CNA registration. At least 6 months of direct patient care experience is preferred; strong communication and basic computer skills are essential. Pay ranges from $15.00 to $22.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• CNA I or CNA II registration with Maryland Board of Nursing
• CPR certification (Heart Saver)
• At least 6 months of direct patient care preferred
• Ability to read and write English; strong communication skills; basic math for vitals and weights

Responsibilities

• Provides care, comfort, and safety under direct supervision of a nurse
• Assists with activities of daily living and basic patient care tasks
• Documents observations and care in the EMR
• Prepares and maintains patient rooms and supplies
• Assists with admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed
• Uses chain of command and reports changes to nursing staff
• Participates in unit-based teamwork and performance improvements
