Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily care of patients including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation.
• Measure and document blood pressures, TPRs, I&O, daily weights, and other patient data in EMR.
• Perform purposeful rounding and communicate observations to RN.
• Assist in admission, transfer and discharge processes under RN supervision.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing as indicated.
• Run errands, stock nursing area, clean equipment and work areas.
• Assist with patient positioning and transport and support nutrition needs as directed.
• Maintain skin integrity and provide necessary patient supplies and appliances.
• May remove IVs, provide post mortem care, and perform bladder scans as directed.
