Job summary

Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC) is seeking a Nursing Support partner to provide care, comfort, and safety for assigned patients under direct supervision of a registered nurse. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor basic needs, and help keep patient rooms clean, stocked, and safe.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 6 months of direct patient care experience preferred, and good reading, writing, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months experience in direct patient care preferred.
• Ability to read and write English to provide basic patient care and record measurements.

Responsibilities

• Provides care, comfort, and safety of assigned patients under direct supervision of a nurse.
• Assists patients in activities of daily living, including bathing, toileting, oral hygiene, and linens.
• Uses proper techniques to avoid infection and records vital signs, weights, and routine data in patient charts.
• Performs delegated nursing care procedures and observes patient changes for nursing staff.
• Maintains clean and stocked patient rooms and assists with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Utilizes electronic medical records for documentation and communication.
