Job summary

Cascadia Healthcare is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide basic nursing assistance and support residents with daily living activities in a facility setting.

Under supervision, the CNA will respond to nurse calls, assist with activities of daily living, monitor health indicators, and document care provided, while adhering to policies and maintaining resident confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CNA certification in the state of employment; CPR preferred.
• Six months experience in a long-term-care environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answers nurse call system to determine resident needs.
• Assists residents with dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, and incontinence care.
• Obtains food trays and assists residents with eating.
• Assists residents with range of motion exercises and movement to/from wheelchair.
• Assists residents with turning and positioning in bed.
• Assists resident with ambulation as indicated.
• Takes and records vital signs and intake/output as directed.
• Documents activities of daily living and devices per policies.
• Attends interdisciplinary meetings to provide input into care plans.
• Documents restorative services per facility procedures.
• Provides person-centered care based on indicated preferences.
• Ensures punctuality and regular attendance for shifts.
