Job summary

Cascadia Healthcare is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to deliver basic nursing assistance and support residents with daily living activities under supervision. Responsibilities include responding to nurse calls, aiding with dressing, grooming, bathing, feeding, and mobility, recording vitals, ADLs, and assisting with care plans.

CPR certification is preferred, and a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid CNA certification in state of employment.
• CPR certificate preferred.
• Six months experience in a long term-care environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer nurse call system to determine resident needs.
• Assist residents with dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, and incontinence care.
• Obtain food trays and assist residents with eating.
• Assist residents with range of motion exercises and movement to/from wheelchair or activity areas.
• Assist resident with turning and positioning in bed.
• Assist resident with ambulation as indicated in the facility.
• Take and record temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake/output.
• Document ADLs, resident personal cares, and device use on flow sheets or task sheets.
• Attend interdisciplinary meetings as needed to provide input into care plans.
• Document restorative services provided per facility policies.
• Assist facility staff to provide person-centered cares based on indicated preferences.
• Ensure punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts.
