Job summary

Cascadia Healthcare is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide basic nursing assistance and support residents with daily living activities under supervision. You will respond to nurse calls, assist with hygiene, feeding, mobility, and monitor vital signs following facility policies.

Required CNA certification in state, high school diploma, CPR preferred, and six months of long-term care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid CNA certification in the state of employment.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to nurse call system to determine resident needs.
• Assist residents with dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, and incontinence care.
• Obtain food trays and assist residents with eating.
• Assist residents with range of motion exercises and movement to/from wheelchair or activity areas.
• Turn and position residents in bed and assist with ambulation.
• Record vital signs and intake/output as directed.
• Document ADLs and device use on flow sheets or task sheets.
• Attend interdisciplinary meetings to provide input into care plans.
• Follow facility policies for restorative services and patient-centered care.
• Maintain punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts.
