Job summary

Alpha Omega Hospice is seeking a Per Diem Hospice Aide (CNA) to join our compassionate team, providing hands-on care that brings comfort and dignity to patients at the end of life. You will work closely with our nursing staff to meet physical, emotional, and personal needs with respect and professionalism.

Responsibilities include following the plan of care, assisting with personal care, supporting families, and maintaining accurate documentation in home or agency settings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Unencumbered CNA certification in state.
• Minimum one year CNA experience in acute or long-term care; hospice experience a plus.
• CPR certification if state-mandated.
• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide Personalized Care following the plan of care to ensure comfort and well-being.
• Assist with Personal Care including bathing, oral hygiene, bedding, clothing, and shampooing.
• Be Dedicated to Customer Service, ensuring exceptional patient satisfaction.
• Provide Support for Families by sharing knowledge and guidance.
• Maintain Accurate Documentation in the home and agency records.

Responsibilities

• Provide Personalized Care: Follow the carefully crafted plan of care to ensure the comfort and well-being of our patients. Attend promptly to the requests of patients and their family/caregiver, offering compassionate and unwavering support.
• Assist with Personal Care: Support patients with various personal care needs, including bathing, oral hygiene, changing bedding, clothing, and shampooing. Your presence during these intimate moments contributes significantly to their overall comfort and dignity.
• Be Dedicated to Customer Service: Emphasize exceptional customer service, going above and beyond to ensure optimal patient satisfaction. Your dedication to providing outstanding care will be valued and celebrated as part of our team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Holds current unencumbered certificate in the state working as a C.N.A.
• Minimum one (1) year experience as a C.N.A. in an acute care or long term care setting. Hospice exp a plus!
• Possess and maintains current CPR certification if state-mandated
• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to dependable transportation.

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour (Average Pay Range). The pay range listed represents a general posting guideline for the role and is not a fixed offer. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and the specific responsibilities of the position. The exact compensation rate will be discussed and confirmed at the conclusion of the interview process.
