Job summary

CHI Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate basic patient care under RN direction at The Josie Harper Hospice House. You will support comfort, safety, and daily activities, contributing to our mission of dignified end-of-life care.

As part of an interdisciplinary team, you will assist with patient transport, document care, and participate in the plan of care, upholding the highest standards of conduct and patient well-being.

Qualifications

• 75-hour state-approved Nursing Assistant course (Nebraska) required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant credential recognized in NE required.
• CPR/BLS certification is required upon hire.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), you will be a cornerstone of patient care, directly contributing to comfort, safety, and recovery by providing essential support under RN direction.

Every day, you will deliver compassionate basic care, assist with patient transport, and actively contribute to the patient's plan of care as a vital member of our interdisciplinary team, upholding the highest standards of conduct and patient well-being.

• Under the direction and supervision of the Licensed Practitioner, RN or LPN, participates in the nursing process which includes: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate. The nursing process is an ongoing process that can end at any stage.
• Assessment - Contributes to the assessment of the health status of the healthcare consumer.
• Plan – Contributes to the plan of care through observation, data collection and communication of findings to the appropriate member of the multidisciplinary team.
• Implement – Provides basic patient care activities based on the plan of care and as delegated.
• Evaluate – Contributes to the evaluation of the healthcare consumer by observing responses to interventions and communicating findings to the appropriate member of the multidisciplinary team.
• Documents cares provided in the healthcare consumer’s record.

• Other Must have successfully completed the 75-hour state approved course for Nursing Assistant if hired into the Nursing Assistant position after April 30, 1998. , upon hire
