Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant to provide compassionate, patient-centered care at The Josie Harper Hospice House. You will work under RN/LPN direction, delivering basic care and supporting the patient’s plan of care in a home-like hospice setting.

The role emphasizes teamwork across disciplines, adherence to the nursing process, and maintaining the highest standards of patient well-being. Training and CPR certification are required upon hire.

Qualifications

• Completion of the 75-hour state-approved Nursing Assistant course.
• Certified Nursing Assistant credential (NE) upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation as part of the nursing process.
• Contribute to the plan of care through observation and communication.
• Provide basic patient care activities as delegated and observed.
• Assist with patient transport and documentation of care in the patient record.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support dignified, high-quality end-of-life care.

As a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), you will be a cornerstone of patient care, directly contributing to comfort, safety, and recovery by providing essential support under RN direction.

Every day, you will deliver compassionate basic care, assist with patient transport, and actively contribute to the patient's plan of care as a vital member of our interdisciplinary team, upholding the highest standards of conduct and patient well-being.

• Under the direction and supervision of the Licensed Practitioner, RN or LPN, participates in the nursing process which includes: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate. The nursing process is an ongoing process that can end at any stage.
• Assessment - Contributes to the assessment of the health status of the healthcare consumer.
• Plan - Contributes to the plan of care through observation, data collection and communication of findings to the appropriate member of the multidisciplinary team.
• Implement - Provides basic patient care activities based on the plan of care and as delegated.
• Evaluate - Contributes to the evaluation of the healthcare consumer by observing responses to interventions and communicating findings to the appropriate member of the multidisciplinary team.
• Documents cares provided in the healthcare consumer's record.

*Pay Range*

$17.24 - $24.35 /hour
