Amedisys, Inc. is seeking a Hospice Aide for full-time daytime shifts within our home health/hospice team. A PA CNA license is required, with CNA experience within the last 12 months preferred.

Compensation is $22-$23 per hour with benefits and room for growth. Responsibilities include providing personal care, assisting with meals and mobility, observing patient status, and coordinating with the nursing staff to support home-based care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current state certification (or registration) as a nurse assistant as per state certification/registration requirements.
• CNA experience within the last two years.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Responsabilités

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics to the performance of personal and supportive care.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals, assist's with feeding, as assigned.
• Performs homemaking and other environmental services as assigned.
• Observes, reports, and documents changes in patient's status.
• Follow written instructions for personal care prepared by a registered nurse.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics to the performance of specific techniques of personal and supportive care such as ambulation of clients, transferring clients, assisting with the normal range of motion and positioning, and doing household chores.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals,assist's with feeding, as assigned.
• Performs homemaking and other environmental services as assigned.
• Observes, reports, and documents any changes in patient's status. If unable to perform a certain task, report to the primary nurse.
• Follow specific written instructions for personal care prepared by a registered nurse in accordance with the plan of care. Written instructions are to be received prior to the delivery of services.
• Assists patients with prescribed exercises as instructed by nurse or therapist.
• Performs and records simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin.
• Other duties as assigned.
