Job summary

Masonicare is seeking a CNA Home Health Caregiver in West Hartford to provide in-home care from assisted living to private residences. The role covers bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding, with emphasis on safety and compassionate support.

You will work day shifts, about 30 hours weekly, with a $500 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits. A valid CNA license and driver's license are required, and prior caregiving experience is preferred to ensure high-quality home-based care.

Qualifications

• CNA Certification and license required.
• Valid driver's license in good standing.
• Previous caregiving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, hair/skin care and feeding.
• Assisting with medications reminders; remind client to take meds as needed.
• Assisting with exercises, ambulation and transfer activities.
• Meal preparation, laundry and housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe home.
• Providing emotional support to client and household members.
• Accompanying client to appointments and social activities.
• Observing changes in client abilities or needs and notifying agency.
• Documentation of care per agency policy.

The CNA Home Health Caregiver assists with personal care activities: bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, hair/skin care and feeding.

Other Standard Duties May Include

• Assisting with medication management by reminding client to take medication as needed
• Assisting the client with exercises, ambulation and transfer activities.
• Performing household services essential to a clean, safe and healthy environment, including meal preparation, laundry and housekeeping to ensure that the client is receiving sanitary and safe care at home.
• Providing basic emotional and psychological support to client and other members of the household
• Assiting and client to physician, clinic, or other appointments.
• Accompanying patient on walks and to social functions
• Oberserving any changes in the clients’ abilities and/or needs for safety issues and notifying the agency as appropriate
• Documentation of care/activities provided will be submitted as per agency policy.
