Job summary

Action Health Staffing is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide home care services in the Williamston area. The role involves direct patient care in the client’s residence, with assignments outlined in the Plan of Care.

Responsibilities include personal hygiene, transfers, basic nursing tasks, meal preparation, companionship, and light housekeeping. EVV timekeeping and accurate record-keeping are required; medications are not administered.

Qualifications

• Maintain DFS certification.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Effective communication skills including reading, writing and following directions.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending and standing.
• Sympathetic attitude toward care of the sick.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as assigned.
• Provide personal hygiene care (bath, shave, hair care, mouth care).
• Assist with transfers, repositioning and ambulation.
• Provide basic nursing care and prescribed exercises as directed by supervising staff.
• Prepare meals considering client preferences and special diets.
• Provide companionship and activities tailored to each client.
• Light housekeeping as directed.
• Maintain complete and accurate records as required by agency.
• Record and report changes in client’s condition.
• Complete tasks in EVV app for Aide Plan or time sheets as needed.
• Demonstrate dependability by punctual reporting.
• Respect client and family values; support independence within client abilities.
• Follow Plan of Care and never administer medications.
