Job summary

Assisting Hands Home Care is seeking compassionate home care aides to support clients in their own homes across Norfolk and Suffolk Counties and surrounding areas. You will assist with daily living activities, mobility, meals, and companionship, while following individualized care plans and maintaining client dignity.

The role offers training, ongoing support, and opportunities for advancement within a caring, award-winning team.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English.
• CNA or HHA certification or caregiving experience preferred.
• Nursing students gaining patient care experience considered.
• Experience in home care is a plus but not required; kindness and eagerness matter most.
• Strong communication and a caring nature are essential.
• Able to follow a care plan and deliver compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required.
• Must be able to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming to maintain dignity and comfort.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, light exercise, or walking.
• Prepare and serve meals to ensure tasty, healthy options.
• Provide medication reminders; training will be provided.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in activities to brighten their day.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm, eagerness to learn, and motivation to provide excellent care.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment in clients' homes.
• Occasionally transport clients to appointments or run errands; miles reimbursed.
• Show dedication to clients and respect for the agency's team.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Proficiency in English
