Alzheimer’s Community Care (“ACC”) is a non‑profit organization that provides support and services to families, caregivers, and patients of Alzheimer’s disease and other conditions resulting in dementia.

Program Assistant

We are seeking a full‑time Program Assistant for our Specialized Day Center. As a Program Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and facilitation of therapeutic activities for patients in the Specialized Alzheimer’s Day Service Center, including hands‑on assistance with patients' activities of daily living.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development, implementation, and facilitation of therapeutic activities for patients in the SADSC
• Provide hands‑on assistance with patients' activities of daily living
• Ensure the safety and well‑being of patients at all times
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date patient records

Requirements:

• Clear, active Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or Home Health Aid (HHA) Certification
• Ability to work between 8 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday
• Must pass AHCA level II criminal background screening and drug screening

Skills:

• Experience working with patients with Alzheimer’s disease or related neurocognitive disorders preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
