Job summary

Interim HealthCare Home Care is hiring a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) for day shifts in Altoona, PA and surrounding areas. The role supports in-home patient care with Monday–Friday availability, offering full-time, part-time, or PRN options to fit work-life balance.

You will assist with daily living activities, provide companionship, teach self-care skills, and coordinate care by communicating with the nursing team to ensure comfort and dignity for clients at home.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification/license
• Current CPR
• Attention to detail; able to document notes regarding a patient’s condition
• Active Driver's License and reliable transportation to/from care sites and/or work locations

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic hygiene
• Provide companionship and conversation
• Teach patients essential self-care skills as needed
• Help navigate the healthcare system by scheduling appointments and communicating needs to the nursing team

• Assist patients with daily living activities, such as light housekeeping, preparing meals, assisting with personal hygiene, and grocery shopping
• Provide companionship and conversation
• Teach patients essential self-care skills, as needed
• Help the patient navigate the healthcare system by scheduling appointments and communicating needs to our nursing team, when appropriate
