Job summary

Nurse Next Door Home Care Services is seeking dedicated caregivers in Salem, Oregon. You'll provide personal care, companionship, and assist clients with activities of daily living in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of caregiving experience required.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English; additional languages a plus.
• Proof of CNA or HHA license, if applicable.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist clients with personal care, companionship, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
• Assist with mobility, walking, and physical therapy exercises
• Follow individualized care plans created by the Care Designer
• Ensure client safety and proper use of equipment
• Function within the limits of your own experience and knowledge, while practicing safely and competently within the job description
• Accurately complete documentation and visit records
• Participate in our Happier First Visit – a special introduction visit focused on building trust and understanding client needs
• Deliver compassionate, respectful care that promotes independence and dignity

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of caregiving experience
• Ability to communicate clearly in English (additional languages are a plus)
• Proof of CNA or HHA license, if applicable
• First aid and CPR-certified
• Current TB screening and criminal background check
• Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines
• Legal authorization to work in Oregon
• Valid driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience and clean driving record
• Reliable transportation required
