Job summary

Nurse Next Door Home Care Services is hiring compassionate caregivers to support seniors across Salem, McMinnville, Woodburn, Wilsonville, South Portland and surrounding communities in Oregon. The role offers flexible schedules, ongoing leadership support, and 1:1 in-home client care with mileage reimbursement.

Requirements include at least 2 years of caregiving experience, English communication, a CNA or HHA license if applicable, and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of caregiving experience required.
• Excellent English communication skills required.
• CNA or HHA license preferred/required if applicable.
• First aid and CPR certification preferred.
• TB screening and criminal background check required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care, companionship, meal prep, and light housekeeping.
• Assist with mobility, walking, and basic exercises as directed.
• Follow individualized care plans created by the Care Designer.
• Ensure client safety and proper use of equipment.
• Complete documentation and visit records accurately.
• Participate in Happier First Visit to build trust and understanding.
• Deliver compassionate, respectful care that promotes independence and dignity.

Schedule Needs:

We are hiring for all visit times, including weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist clients with personal care, companionship, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
• Assist with mobility, walking, and physical therapy exercises
• Follow individualized care plans created by the Care Designer
• Ensure client safety and proper use of equipment
• Function within the limits of your own experience and knowledge, while practicing safely and competently within the job description
• Accurately complete documentation and visit records
• Participate in our Happier First Visit — a special introduction visit focused on building trust, understanding client needs, and creating a positive start to care
• Deliver compassionate, respectful care that promotes independence and dignity

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of caregiving experience
• Ability to communicate clearly in English (additional languages are a plus)
• Proof of CNA or HHA license, if applicable
• First aid and CPR-certified
• Current TB Screening and criminal background check
• Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines
• Legal authorization to work in Oregon
• Valid driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience and clean driving record
• Reliable transportation required
