Job summary

Nurse Next Door Home Care Service is recruiting compassionate caregivers to support seniors in their own homes across Salem, McMinnville, Woodburn, Wilsonville, South Portland, and surrounding communities. You will provide personal care, companionship, and light housekeeping with a focus on dignity and independence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of caregiving experience
• Ability to communicate clearly in English
• Proof of CNA or HHA license, if applicable
• First aid and CPR-certified
• TB screening and criminal background check
• Legal authorization to work in Oregon
• Valid driver’s license with 2+ years driving
• Reliable transportation required

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care, companionship, meals, and light housekeeping
• Assist with mobility, walking, and basic exercises
• Follow individualized care plans created by the Care Designer
• Ensure client safety and proper use of equipment
• Complete documentation and visit records accurately
• Participate in Happier First Visit to build trust and assess needs
• Deliver compassionate, respectful care preserving independence and dignity

Schedule Needs: We are hiring for all visit times, including weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist clients with personal care, companionship, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
• Assist with mobility, walking, and physical therapy exercises
• Follow individualized care plans created by the Care Designer
• Ensure client safety and proper use of equipment
• Function within the limits of your own experience and knowledge, while practicing safely and competently within the job description
• Accurately complete documentation and visit records
• Participate in our Happier First Visit — a special introduction visit focused on building trust, understanding client needs, and creating a positive start to care
• Deliver compassionate, respectful care that promotes independence and dignity

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of caregiving experience
• Ability to communicate clearly in English (additional languages are a plus)
• Proof of CNA or HHA license, if applicable
• First aid and CPR-certified
• Current TB Screening and criminal background check
• Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines
• Legal authorization to work in Oregon
• Valid driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience and clean driving record
• Reliable transportation required
