Job summary

UC San Diego Health's Jacobs Medical Center Hematology and Cellular Therapy unit seeks a CNA to support care delivery for Blood and Marrow Transplant patients. You will perform basic patient care, assist with ADLs, and help transport specimens and supplies in a 36-bed unit affiliated with a premier medical school.

Requires active California CNA license, BART or BLS at hire with plan to obtain BART within 6 months, and strong prioritization in a team setting.

Qualifications

• Active California CNA license.
• BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six months.
• Demonstrate ability to prioritize tasks effectively, identify and communicate patient status and safety changes clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care and assistance with activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Assist with patient transport, specimen and blood product transport, and inventory management.
• Participate in collaborative team environment; training and evaluation of peers; scheduling; and administrative support.
