Job summary

UC San Diego's Jacobs Medical Center Hematology and Cellular Therapy unit seeks a CNA to support the continuum of care under a Registered Nurse. You will provide basic patient care, assist with activities of daily living, transport patients and specimens, and help with inventory management.

This role requires initiative, prioritization, and the ability to work in a team. You may train peers, assist with scheduling, and support unit administration.

Qualifications

• Active California CNA license.
• BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six months of hire date.
• Demonstrate ability to prioritize tasks effectively and communicate patient status and safety changes clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care and assistance with activities of daily living.
• Perform uncomplicated technical procedures and transport patients and specimens.
• Assist with inventory management and unit administrative functions.
• Participate in training and evaluation of peers and scheduling of work.
