Job summary

UC San Diego Health's Jacobs Medical Center Hematology and Cellular Therapy unit seeks a CNA to support vital patient care. Under RN supervision, you will assist with activities of daily living and basic procedures, while handling transport, specimens, and inventory in a 36-bed private room unit focused on blood and marrow transplant, CAR-T, and hematologic conditions.

The role emphasizes prioritization, teamwork, and potential training/evaluation of peers, with shifts that require flexibility

Qualifications

• Active California CNA license.
• BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to obtain BART within six months.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and communicate patient status clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Transport patients, specimens, and blood products; manage inventory.
• Participate in team training, scheduling, and unit administrative tasks.
