Job summary

Acti-Kare Responsive In-Home Care on Camano Island seeks a compassionate Caregiver to support a client with daily living activities. You’ll work independently, follow care plans, and communicate with family and the care team to ensure comfort and safety.

Typical schedule ranges across several days per week, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with hourly compensation of $21.00–$23.00 based on experience and assignment. A supportive environment and opportunities for development are offered.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving or related experience preferred, but not required.
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association preferred/required as applicable.
• Compassionate, patient, respectful, and dependable approach to client care.
• Ability to work independently and follow established care plans.
• Knowledge of basic housekeeping and meal preparation, including dietary considerations.
• Strong communication, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability and endurance to perform required caregiving tasks.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of a background check and reference verification.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care, hygiene, bathing, dressing, and mobility.
• Assist with ambulation and mobility inside and outside the home.
• Prepare and serve meals while following dietary requirements.
• Provide medication reminders as directed.
• Assist clients with prescribed exercises and recommended activities.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks that the client is unable to complete independently.
• Assist with shopping or accompany clients on errands when needed.
• Monitor and communicate changes in the client's condition or behavior.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, nurses, and other members of the care team.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
• Respond appropriately and responsibly to emergencies or unusual situations.

Acti-Kare Responsive In-Home Care is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and caring Caregiver to provide personalized in-home care for a client in Camano Island, WA. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in helping others maintain their comfort, dignity, independence, and quality of life.

Schedule

Various days, approximately 5 days per week
Hours between 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Compensation
