Job summary

Salem Health is seeking a part-time Certified Nurse Assistant to join the General Surgery team in Salem, Oregon. The position is 24 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts (7:00 pm - 7:30 am) and non-exempt status, located at Salem Hospital.

You will provide hands-on patient care and assist with daily living activities, contributing to comfort, dignity, and recovery. You will document patient care in the EMR, monitor vital signs, report changes promptly, and collaborate with nurses to ensure

Qualifications

• Licensed in Oregon to practice as a CNA.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Observe, document, and communicate changes in patient condition to the nurse.
• Document care and observations in the EMR using approved terminology.
• Support patient safety with infection prevention and proper lifting/transfer techniques.
• Collaborate with nurses and care team during handoffs and education reinforcement.
