Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living in East Haven, CT is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a full-time shift from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The role focuses on delivering high-quality resident care in a warm, home-like environment, including daily living activities and emotional support.

Responsibilities include documenting care, reporting health changes, and engaging residents in meaningful activities. Prior CNA/HHA/LNA licensure is required, with dementia experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid CNA/HHA/LNA license required.
• Prior experience in a skilled nursing or assisted living community is preferred.
• Previous experience working with people with dementia is desired.

CNA Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Documenting care provided and reporting any changes in resident health or behavior to appropriate staff.
• Engaging residents in meaningful activities and providing emotional support.
• Utilizing customer service skills to ensure that residents receive exceptional and meaningful care.
• Other duties as needed.

Requirements:

• Valid CNA/HHA/LNA license required
• Prior experience in a skilled nursing or assisted living community is preferred but not required
• Previous experience working with people with dementia is desired
