Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with activities of daily living.
• Reports incidents involving residents to include care concerns to RN/LPN or supervisor and documents appropriately.
• Performs housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas as directed.
• Responds promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergencies.
• Assists in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Follows confidentiality policies regarding resident information.
• Assists residents to and from dining and activities and supports move-in transitions.
• Communicates resident status and upcoming information to the team and family as needed.
• Completes required in-services and staff meetings.

The CNA encourages residents to function at their highest level of independence and to participate in community activities.
