Job summary

The Orchards is hiring a CNA to care for residents in a nursing home, assisted living, rehab and independent living setting. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and participate in activities while maintaining safety and comfort for residents.

The role offers a sign-on bonus and online training possibilities. Applicants should be prepared for team-based care and to adhere to care plans and documentation requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CNA certification/certification training is referenced in the ad.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and services to residents as per care plans, including ADL assistance and mobility support.
• Perform two-hour rounds on each resident from arrival to end of shift.
• Record temperature, pulse, respiration, and intake/output as directed.
• Participate in resident activity programs and document care.
• Report any change in resident condition to the charge nurse immediately.

Summary

Under the direction of the nursing staff, the CNA cares for residents at The Orchards while keeping them safe and comfortable during their activities of daily living by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Teamwork with the following and all other duties and responsibilities assigned.

• Provides care and services to residents as defined by individualized care plans. Care and services include, but are not limited to: ADL assistance, mobility assistance, positioning assistance and feeding assistance.


• Performs random rounds on each resident every two hours, starting upon arrival and finishing just prior to the end of the shift.


• Takes and records temperature, pulse and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed.


• Participates in resident activity program.


• Documents care provided to residents using approved documentation method.


• Reports any change in resident condition to the charge nurse immediately.

Required Education

High school diploma or GED

Required Certifications

Certificate upon completion of an approved nurse's aide certification curriculum (CNA License)
