Job summary

The Orchards is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to care for residents in our nursing home, assisted living, rehab and independent living settings. You will assist with ADLs, mobility, positioning and feeding, and perform routine rounds to monitor health and safety.

Responsibilities include documenting care, participating in activity programs, and promptly reporting changes to the charge nurse. A nurse's aide certification is required and ongoing training is provided.

Qualifications

• ADL assistance, mobility assistance and feeding support are required.
• Ability to position and care for residents with dignity and safety.
• Teamwork with nursing staff to implement individualized care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provides care and services to residents as defined by individualized care plans.
• Performs random rounds every two hours, starting on arrival and finishing before shift end.
• Takes and records temperature, pulse, respiration, and intake/output as directed.
• Participates in resident activity program.
• Documents care provided using approved methods.
• Reports any change in resident condition to the charge nurse immediately.

Summary

Under the direction of the nursing staff, cares for residents while keeping them safe and comfortable during their activities of daily living by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Teamwork with the following and all other duties and responsibilities assigned.

• Provides care and services to residents as defined by individualized care plans. Care and services include, but are not limited to: ADL assistance, mobility assistance, positioning assistance and feeding assistance.
• Performs random rounds on each resident every two hours, starting upon arrival and finishing just prior to the end of the shift.
• Takes and records temperature, pulse and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed.
• Participates in resident activity program.
• Documents care provided to residents using approved documentation method.
• Reports any change in resident condition to the charge nurse immediately.

Other Responsibilities

• Assists with stocking supplies in clean utility rooms.
• Attend meetings and training sessions required for the position

Education And/or Experience

Certificate upon completion of an approved nurse's aide certification curriculum. Complete annual state mandated training requirements (Regular In-services as well as any external training).
