Job summary

Kindred Hospital Santa Ana is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support registered nurses in delivering patient care in an acute/long-term setting. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, and help prepare the patient room for admission and transfers.

Responsibilities include taking measurements accurately, responding to call lights, assisting with routine treatments under supervision, and supporting meal service and personal care to patients throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Able to organize tasks and function under stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing personnel in patient care and activities of daily living.
• Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, and intake/output; document promptly.
• Prepare patient rooms and assist with admission, transfer, and discharge procedures.
• Answer patient call lights, telephone, and paging systems and respond appropriately.
• Under RN/LPN supervision, perform routine treatment procedures such as enemas and applications for heat/cold.
• Assist with meal trays and feeding as needed.
