Job summary

Kindred Hospital Westminster, part of ScionHealth, is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support professional nursing staff and assist patients with daily living activities while maintaining a safe and compassionate environment.

The role requires high school equivalency, current Nursing Assistant and BLS certifications, plus at least six months in acute or long-term care. You will help with admissions, transfers, and daily care under RN supervision.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Able to organize tasks, develop action plans, set priorities and function under stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Assist professional nursing personnel in providing patient care.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Record and monitor vital signs and input/output; document promptly.
• Prepare patient rooms for admission and transfer; ensure cleanliness and comfort.
• Assist with admission, transfer and discharge procedures; handle patient belongings.
• Respond to patient call lights and paging; assist as directed by RN.
