Job summary

SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon, IL, seeks a CNA for a full-time day-shift role. You will assist with nursing care, perform delegated tasks, and support patient flow in a fast-paced hospital environment.

The position requires a current Illinois CNA certification with no experience required. You will float to units as needed between Mt. Vernon and Centralia, with appropriate float, shift, and weekend differentials and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• You must have a current Illinois CNA certification.
• No experience required.
• Able to work three 12-hour day shifts with weekend/holiday rotation.

Responsibilities

• Receives patient care assignment from the RN in charge.
• Initiates delegated tasks based on demonstrated competence.
• Documents and provides data for admission assessments and reassessments.
• Communicates patient needs and changes to the RN/LPN.
• Assists with activities of daily living and patient mobility.
• Prepares patients for discharge and aids in charting and supplies management.
