Job summary

Qualifications

• Nursing Assistant I (NA I) certification with NC DHHS, no substantiated findings of abuse, fraud, neglect or misappropriation of property.
• BCLS certification must be maintained/completed by end of new hire orientation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients, equipment and supplies for procedures and provide manual assistance as required.
• Obtain and record patient data for medical records and inform RN/LPN of information collected.
• Assist with admission, discharge, and transportation of patients and monitor patient condition.
• Take and record vital signs and assist with activities of daily living as needed.
• Support teaching by reinforcing instructions from RN/providers.
• Perform routine tests, document results, and maintain clean, stocked work areas.
• Follow standard precautions and use PPE as required.
