Job summary

First Day Homecare provides personal care services under RN/therapist direction to clients in Salt Lake and Utah counties. The CNA works with a care team to maintain client comfort and wellbeing, following care plans and reporting changes to supervisors.

Responsibilities include companionship, ADLs support, documentation, and safe transfers. The role emphasizes infection control, collaboration with caregivers, and ongoing training opportunities as part of our commitment to quality homecare.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a formal certification training program and/or a written skills test and competency evaluation.
• Be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Demonstrated ability to read, write, and follow a written care plan.
• Good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and, if authorized, transportation to clients according to the care plan.
• Assist client with general Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, meals, light housekeeping and safe ambulation/transfers.
• Report any changes in the client’s condition to the supervisor as outlined in the care plan.
• Document care provided and maintain accurate records for the Agency.
• Work collaboratively with the client’s care team and ensure effective communication.
• Promote client safety by following infection control practices and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Attend in-service programs to meet compliance and notify supervisors of any educational needs.
